Join 48in48 to Participate in Hands On Atlanta Day

In 2015, Atlanta welcomed the inaugural – and flagship – 48in48. An incredible group of volunteers teamed up to create the first 48 nonprofit websites in only 48 hours. Three years later, the volunteer base has grown exponentially, and so has the impact on the community. The event returns to Atlanta on October 12-14, 2018. By the end of the 2018 weekend, 48in48 in Atlanta will have generated $6 million in value in nonprofit websites, logos, and marketing education to strengthen communities across Georgia.

We always feel the love and passion in – and for – Atlanta.

As a thank you to the amazing city where we got our start, we are joining forces for Hands on Atlanta Day, taking place on Saturday, October 6, 2018. It is the one day of the year when all Atlantans are encouraged to come out and serve together to tackle issues affecting the city. Every year, the event brings citizens together to make Atlanta a more vibrant city.

Thousands of changemakers will come together, serving over 10,000 hours, to lay fresh paint, landscape, plant gardens, read with kids, work with seniors, build meal kits, and more at over 50 schools and nonprofits across metro Atlanta. 48in48 volunteers will offer expertise to create a special digital marketing campaign for the city.

Our 48in48 team is composed of skilled web and marketing professionals who will create a campaign raising awareness for the biggest challenges facing Atlanta. We will highlight how volunteers can help be a part of the solution, taking inspiration from the Machstic campaign that refreshed public notice signs around the city.

The campaign will raise awareness about the biggest challenges that impact our city, including:

  • Literacy
  • Food Insecurity
  • Human Trafficking
  • Women’s Rights/Empowerment
  • Access (Healthcare and Fitness)
  • Access (Education – Arts and STEAM)
  • Affordable Housing
  • Racism
  • Xenophobia (Immigration)
  • Equality (LGBTQ rights)
  • Animal Rescue
  • Activism (Social Justice)

Volunteers will create campaigns that raise awareness and highlight how volunteers can help be a part of the solution.

Each campaign will include a landing page, social graphics, Infographics, and posters or flyers.

Making this important effort happen will take talent! We need the best our city has to offer.

We are looking for:

  • Graphic designers
  • Front-end developers
  • Project managers
  • Copywriters
  • Teams from agencies who want to spend a morning giving back for an awesome collective impact project!

We can’t wait for you to join us during Hands on Atlanta Day! Don’t wait. This is one day you don’t want to miss out on. We promise.
