For the third year, Slalom is partnering with 48in48 to build 48 websites for 48 nonprofits in 48 hours.
Why should you get involved?
48in48 is a great opportunity to use your professional skills to make a real impact for nonprofit organizations in our community. If you’ve heard about hackathons but think they are only for developers, this is the event for you!
We want to put together a cross-functional team with a solution owner, developers, designers, content and marketing folks, and anyone else who wants to help out.
Do I need to know how to code to be on a development team?
Do I have to participate the full 48 hours?
Is this fun?
Nope. Development team members can help with copywriting, photo selection, layout and many other tasks that don’t involve coding. Joining a Dev team is also a great way to learn WordPress- no coding required. General volunteer activities are also available.
Nope. We can work with team members on aligning schedules if you have a prior commitment for part of that weekend or need to be remote.
Yes! It’s a great way to meet Slalom team members, network with other volunteers, learn new skills, all while having a blast! Last year, there were fun activities, giveaways and raffles.
